Pigment irrecularities in your skin are the consequence of sun damage occurring over many years. UV light from the sun causes your melanocytes to produce pigment in a n erratic manner leading to darker pockets of pigments. These can be clearly seen using photography taken using ultra-violet light (Either woods lamp or Profect camera system).

This pigment can be safely and efficaciously be greatly improved using the Prolite, a light device that specifically targets pigment in the skin. The light will harmlessly travel through your skin and selectively target there abnormal pigment areas.

The pigment thus targeted will darken in a few hours and then proceed to form very superficial scapbs that will naturally shed after about 7 to 10 days. Do not pick. Alternatively, a microdermabrasion session my be performed at that time to remove all traces.

Each treatment will improve the general look of your skin. Typically a series of 4 treatments is recommended, typically at 2 weeks’ intervals.

The treatment will also help reduce any superficial redness you may have.

There is no typical number of treatments as each patient responds differently. The only thing that we can commit to is that your skin will become more and more even with each treatment. Typically, an initial series of 4 treatments will yield good results, although more treatments may well be required. After this initial course of treatments, we will evaluate how many more treatments may be required, if any.
