Dr. Ram Chandra, MD, is our Cosmetic and Laser Physician, Medical Director, and Laser Safety Officer. With over 18 years of experience in Laser and Aesthetic Medicine, Dr. Chandra is a Diplomate of the American Board of Laser Surgery with a Certificate of the Board in Fundamental Laser Science and Laser Safety. He also holds Board Certification in Cosmetic Laser Surgery (Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Cosmetic Lasers), a distinction held by only 38 practitioners globally as of January 2026.

Dr. Chandra has performed more than 70,000 laser procedures on all skin types and is a Certified Aesthetic Consultant by The Aesthetic Practice Association of America. He has extensive training and experience in various aesthetic and laser procedures, including advanced cosmetic filler injection techniques and non-surgical facelift and facial contouring. Dr. Chandra has studied under and been trained by some of the country’s most prominent cosmetic physicians and is known for his compassion and personable approach to patient care.

Dr Chandra is trained by Dr Jeffrey Rappaport, MD, well known expert in PRP Hair Rejuvenation Treatment for men and women, Dr James Avellini, MD, former Professor of Surgery and distinguished trainer in Aesthetic Medicine, and some of the eminent plastic surgeons in the country including Dr Roy Kim, Dr Lara Devgan, Dr David Funt, Dr Adam Oppenheimer, Dr Kay Durairaj, Dr Otto Placik and Dr Mike Nayak in Beauty Metrics and non-surgical Aesthetic enhancement of the face. He is also personally trained and certified in the cosmetic use of PDO threads by Dr Enrico Guarino, one of the eminent plastic surgeons from the La Sapienza University in Rome, Italy. He has attended several human cadaver dissection courses to enhance and refine the injection anatomy, for safety and efficacy (Dr Don Rainone, MD, the Cannula King, and Academy for Injection Anatomy to name a few). Dr Chandra has thus expanded and continues to enhance his knowledge, training and experience from Aesthetic and Laser Medicine to Regenerative Medicine and Sexual Health. Double Board Certified, and enriched with more than 35 years of experience in clinical medicine, and more than 18 years of experience in Cosmetic and Laser Medicine, Dr Chandra brings both a wealth of knowledge and breadth of experience to offer the clients. He has love & passion for making people look and feel good about themselves.

In addition to his expertise in Cosmetic Laser Procedures, Dr. Chandra’s training includes Medical Grade Chemical Peels, Medical Microdermabrasion, Cosmetic Facial Botox & Dysport, Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) in Aesthetics, Mesotherapy, PDO Thread-lift, Laser ablative and non-ablative skin resurfacing, RF microneedling, Laser Tattoo Removal, PRP Male and Female Rejuvenation, and PRP & Liquid Facelift. He is a member of The International Association of Physicians in Aesthetic Medicine, American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine, American Academy of Procedural Medicine, and The Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom. Dr. Chandra is also the author of several publications in international peer-reviewed medical journals.

Dr Chandra is trained and attuned to first, second and third degree Reiki to be Reiki Master by the Reiki Master Brett Bevell.

Anita is the Customer service manager & Client Coordinator who has expertise in scheduling, and knowledge of the cosmetic procedures and skin care. She is also a certified skin analysis consultant. She is often the friendly voice on the phone and helps manage the smooth running of the spa.

At Anara Medspa, Shannon Gomes, RN, BSN, LE brings a rare depth of perspective to aesthetic care, combining the discipline of nursing with the artistry of professional skincare. Her background as both a registered nurse and licensed esthetician allows her to approach each client with a level of insight that is both medically informed and aesthetically refined. For clients, that translates into something invaluable: confidence in the hands that are caring for their skin.
