Dermal Fillers in New Jersey

Dermal fillers are injectable gels that restore lost volume, smooth folds, and refine facial contours — most are hyaluronic acid (HA), a substance your body already makes, and many HA fillers are reversible. At Anara Medspa, fillers are placed by Dr. Ram Chandra, MD, with an emphasis on subtle, proportionate results. Because facial filler carries real risk in untrained hands, every treatment begins with a full physician assessment — never a “party” or walk-in injection.

What can dermal fillers do?

As we age, we lose collagen, elastin, fat, ligament integrity, and even bone structure, which flattens contours and deepens folds. Fillers can:

  • Restore and define the cheeks — see cheek fillers
  • Soften smile lines and refresh under-eye hollows (in suitable candidates)

Which fillers do you use?

We use FDA-approved hyaluronic acid fillers for instant, reversible volume, plus collagen-stimulating biostimulators such as Sculptra (poly-L-lactic acid) and Radiesse for gradual, natural rejuvenation — see our dedicated Sculptra page. For skin quality rather than volume, we also offer SkinVive by Juvéderm, an injectable skin booster that improves hydration and surface glow. Dr. Chandra chooses the product and technique that match your face.

Will fillers look natural?

That’s the goal. Natural results come from conservative dosing, the right product in the right plane, and an eye for facial balance — which is why a physician assessment matters. He will also tell you honestly when an area is better served by a biostimulator, by Botox, or by surgery rather than filler.

A note on under-eye and safety

Persistent under-eye bags are often better addressed surgically, and puffiness that changes through the day can signal a medical cause — so we evaluate the under-eye area carefully before treating. Serious filler complications, while uncommon, are real; physician-led care means minimizing complications and recognizing and managing anything early if it arises.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long do dermal fillers last?

Most hyaluronic acid fillers last roughly 8 to 12 months or more depending on the product and the area treated; lips tend to be on the shorter end and structural areas like cheeks on the longer end. Results from biostimulators such as Sculptra can last up to about two years.

What’s the difference between fillers and Botox?

Fillers add volume to restore contour and fill folds, while Botox relaxes muscles to soften expression lines. They solve different problems and are often combined for a balanced, refreshed result.

Are hyaluronic acid fillers reversible?

Yes. HA fillers can be dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase if you want to adjust or reverse a result, which is one reason they are so widely used and a meaningful safety advantage. We use a human recombinant DNA-produced hyaluronidase to minimize the chance of allergic reactions.

Do filler injections hurt?

Discomfort is usually minimal. Most HA fillers contain a numbing agent, and we can apply topical anesthetic for sensitive areas such as the lips to keep you comfortable. Most people return to normal activities right away.

Will fillers look natural, and who injects them?

Natural is the goal, achieved through conservative dosing and correct product placement. Your filler is placed by Dr. Ram Chandra, MD — a physician with 18+ years of experience — not a technician or a nurse, which is key to both a balanced look and your safety.

Which is better for me — filler or Sculptra?

Traditional HA fillers give immediate, targeted volume, while Sculptra rebuilds volume gradually by stimulating your own collagen for a subtle, natural change. The best choice depends on your concern and timeline, which we’ll discuss together at your consultation.

Are dermal fillers safe?

HA fillers have a strong safety record and are reversible, but serious complications (though uncommon) are possible, which is why physician assessment and technique matter. Dr. Chandra reviews your history, treats conservatively, and is equipped to recognize and manage any issue early.

How much do dermal fillers cost, and do you offer financing?

Pricing depends on the product and how many syringes your goals require, so Dr. Chandra provides a personalized quote after assessing your face. We offer in-house payment plans, Cherry, and CareCredit.

Filler, Sculptra, or SkinVive — which one do I actually need?

It depends on your goal. Hyaluronic-acid fillers add immediate, shapeable volume to lips, cheeks, and jawline; Sculptra rebuilds your own collagen gradually for broad, natural support; and SkinVive improves hydration and glow without adding structure. Dr. Chandra often combines them and will map the right plan at your consultation.
