Labia & vulva rejuvenation with PRP, fillers & threads
This is a non-surgical minimally invasive, no-downtime vulva rejuvenation treatment that uses the science of platelet rich plasma (PRP) to improve the look, feel and fullness of the skin and soft tissue to enhance the labia majora (outer skin-lips of the vagina). This treatment can also enhance or restore sensation in the vulva
PRP (derived from your own blood and obtained painlessly) is injected into the upper 2/3rd of the labia majora and is responsible for the amazing results of this procedure. Sometimes we might also use fillers, PDO threads and growth-factors for enhancement.
PRP is a concentrated source of platelets, growth factors and cytokines found naturally in your own body, and stimulates and controls healthy regenerative processes, including collagen and soft tissue remodeling, and improves overall health and rejuvenation. PRP has been used successfully for years in surgical, orthopedic and non-surgical procedures to promote improved healing times and optimal results from various procedures.
Dr. Chandra is trained and certified in the use of PRP for aesthetic and sexual enhancement at the Cellular Medicine Association under Dr Charles Runels, MD. Combined with his understanding of the science of PRP, affords him unique expertise in this innovative treatment. Rarely, Dr. Chandra may also combine dermal filler along with PRP to improve results. Sometimes a RF skin tightening might also help the rejuvenation of Vulva.
The PRP Labia rejuvenation begins with a painless blood draw from your arm, allowing us to obtain the Platelet Rich Plasma using an FDA-approved sterile system. While we process the PRP, a medical-grade numbing cream is applied topically to the labia. After you are numb, Dr. Chandra will inject the PRP with or without a dermal filler into the skin and fatty tissue of the vulva.
This non-surgical procedure will produce great results for women who desire a healthier look, fullness and feel of their outer skin part of the Vulva lips (called labia majora):
- Women of all ages and skin types who desire for their labia majora part of the vulva to appear more plump and youthful
- Young women who desire to prevent age-related deterioration of vulvar tissue
- Middle-age and older women who are experiencing thinning of skin and volume loss due to age and loss of elasticity
- Athletic women, who work out a lot might have loss of fatty tissue in the labia, making it look shrunken and unattractive, with loss of fullness and elasticity.
The PRP labia and vulva rejuvenation in New Jersey produces visible rejuvenation of the labia majora of the vulva (this is the outer skin-part of the female external genitalia). Within the first few weeks to months, as the PRP increases blood flow to the tissue, the color of the skin will improve and the tissue will thicken and become fuller and more youthful. Over time, fine lines and wrinkles will also begin to diminish through collagen remodeling, and fatty tissue will increase in volume.
In addition, this treatment may increase sexual satisfaction. In general, 1-3 treatments are recommended to produce optimal results.
Most patients report that the PRP procedure is a very tolerable, with only slight discomfort during the five-minute injection process. Our powerful medical-grade numbing cream reduces this potential discomfort, and there is little to no discomfort afterwards except some mild soreness and some swelling for a couple of days in some cases.
There is no downtime after the PRP procedure. Occasionally, patients report some mild soreness for one to two days after treatment. However, you can immediately resume normal daily chores, exercise and sexual activity.
Absolutely! The procedure is a very safe and effective procedure when performed by Dr. Chandra. We do not offer the PRP labia and vulva rejuvenation to pregnant or nursing women or to those on blood thinners, or bleeding disorders. This is an elective cosmetic procedure and is not covered by insurance.
